What is the best way to reach Blk Ankr?

Do I need an appointment to come by the shop?
While appointments are not always required, they are always recommended. We are a small shop with limited staff and would prefer to set an appointment so we can focus on your needs when you come in. There are some processes which we cannot stop in the middle of in order to discuss projects with clients. We want to respect your time and manage ours. 


What types of printing do you do?

We primarily utilize plastisol printing, but also offer some water-based options including discharge printing. There may be additional costs associated with specialty printing, such as discharge. 

How much does it cost to print shirts?
Unfortunately that is not a simple question to answer and is based on a number of factors including the garment we are printing on, the number of colors we are printing, and the number of print locations, combined with the total number of pieces (prints). We are happy to discuss this in further detail, or you can look at our guide to custom apparel costs. 

Do you require a deposit? 
We actually collect 100% payment when you approve your order. At this time we will begin your order. Payment can be made in person at the shop, or securely through our online portal with a credit card.  

Are there set-up costs? 
We charge $25 per color, per location for setup. 

 What are your print minimums?
Our print minimums are 12 pieces for a one color print and 24 pieces for a two or more color print. The garments can vary (with some exceptions), but the print must stay the same to apply to the minimum. For specialty printing, we have a minimum of 36 pieces

Do I need to supply my own shirts? Can I supply my own shirts?
No, we will supply all apparel for your project. We actually do NOT accept customer-supplied apparel for printing, unless you are a Contract Customer. (See Contract Printing).

Do we own the screens after we pay for the set-up? 
No, our set-up fee includes the materials and labor to prep and set-up your print job. It is not a “screen fee” and you do not own the color separations, films, or screens. 

What are the print lead times?
Our typical lead times are 2 weeks or less. This starts when we have a completed order to fill - including artwork approval, garment selection (style, color, size, and quantity breakdown), and your 50% deposit collected.

Do you offer rush service?
We do offer rush services on a case-by-case basis as our schedule allows. There are additional fees associated with rush services and all orders must be paid 100% upfront.

Do you do embroidery? 
No. We do not currently offer embroidery in-house, but can outsource it for you to one of our partner businesses. 

Do you offer contract printing? 
Yes. We do offer contract printing. If you are interested in using Blk Ankr Originals to contract print for you, you must be set up with an EIN and also have a Resale License in the state you are operating. We can discuss more details with you on a case-by-case basis. 

Can you help with the shirt design? Is there a cost associated? 
Yes. We are proud to employ graphic designers who are available to help edit or create the design you wish to have printed. We do charge an hourly rate (with a ½ hour minimum) and will provide you with an artwork quote prior to doing any work.
